This event is open to all teachers with fewer than two years of experience and is designed to support and strengthen early‑career educators as they continue to develop their practice.
This interactive session invites beginning teachers to explore how outdoor environments can support holistic, connected learning grounded in relationship—with the land, with each other, and with multiple ways of knowing. Drawing on Indigenous perspectives and cross-curricular connections, participants will engage in experiences that weave together science, literacy, and wellness. The session emphasizes observation, respect, and reciprocity, helping teachers create meaningful learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom walls. Teachers will leave with practical entry points, reflective practices, and lesson ideas that support student well-being, deepen engagement, and foster a sense of connection to place.
